San Diego State’s Warring is a Texan.

Tight End Kahale Warring continued the big Friday for the Mountain West Conference, becoming the third out of four players selected when the Houston Texas picked him number 86 overall (3rd round).

Warring was seen by many scouts and talent evaluators as one of the more high-ceiling tight ends in this class. He only played one year of football in high school, walk-on and redshirted at San Diego State before finding an ever-growing on the field role for the Aztecs over the past three years. He came out early as a junior after producing 372 yards on 31 receptions and totaling 3 touchdowns.
