The 2016 AP All-America panel announced their selections which included Aztecs’ star running back Donnel Pumphrey and senior offensive lineman Nico Siragusa. Both players were selected on Monday, with Pumphrey making the second team and Siragusa the third team.
At running back, the AP selected D’Onta Foreman from the University of Texas, the nation’s leading rushing leader, and Dalvin Cook from FSU to the first-team. Pumphrey was joined by Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey on the second-team.
The first-team guards were Cody O’Connell from Washington State and Dan Feeney from Indiana.
