On Wednesday night, the San Diego State Aztecs (15-10, 7-6 MW) defeated the Utah State Aggies (11-14, 5-9 MW) at home, 66-62.
Following arguably San Diego State’s best Mountain West Conference victory against Nevada on Sunday, the Aztecs looked to keep up with the rest of the pack.
In the first half, the Aztecs jumped out to an early 10-2 lead within the first minutes of play. The Aggies would slowly cut into the Aztecs lead and get as close as 29-28. Jeremy Hemsley drained a three point jumper as the Aztecs led 32-29 at halftime.
