The San Diego State Aztecs win another shootout against the Northern Illinois Huskies, 42-28. Donnel Pumphrey goes back-to-back with another 200+ yard rushing game with 3 touchdowns.
Coming off the high of beating Pac-12 opponent California, San Diego State took to the road for the first away game this season against the Huskies. Upon arrival, San Diego State picked up where they left off and let the offense doing the talking.
On the Aztecs’ second possession, Pumphrey took one hand-off from the Huskies’ 46 yard line to pay-dirt. His two other scores came on from 33 yards out and the nail in coffin came on a 79-yard touchdown.
