John Elway goes about his business with hubris and aplomb. Not only has Elway managed to negotiate the parameters of a trade — a mid-round pick — that would send Colin Kaepernick to Denver, but now, he's asking the San Francisco 49ers pay for the privilege.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Elway and the Denver Broncos are willing to pay $7 million of Kaepernick's $11.9 million guaranteed 2016 salary. That remaining $4.9 million? Elway wants San Francisco to pay it.
