Rams Lose Heartbreaker to Nevada, Look Ahead to Conference Tournament

Ouch.

That one stings.

In a game severely slowed down by the whistle, there were 53(!) fouls called between the two teams, star Sophomore guard Grant Sherfield’s 3-pointer with 0.8 seconds sank the Rams in a heartbreaking loss to end CSU’s regular season.

It was a tough task going in for Colorado State. The was the 4th game in 7 days for the Rams, all coming after a 3-week hiatus caused by other teams having to cancel due to Covid complications. Ending this stretch with a tough road test against a very good and underrated Nevada team, led by one of the best players in the Mountain West Conference in Sherfield, looked to be a tough task.
