Former Portland guard Jazz Johnson has committed to Nevada, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported Wednesday afternoon.

Johnson, a 6-0 point guard, spent his first two seasons with the Portland Pilots. Last season, he averaged 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. The Portland native also hit 61 three-pointers in 147 attempts. His 40.3% clip from deep against D-I opponents was good for 252nd in the country. He also played 88.9% of available minutes, which was 44th nationally.

Because Johnson is not a graduate transfer, he will have to sit out the 2017-18 season. When he returns for the 2018-19 campaign, he expects to team up with a loaded Wolf Pack squad.
