The Carolina Panthers' made a move a tight end on Friday by placing Richie Brockel on IR with a hamstring injury and signed Scott Simonson from their practice squad, according to the team website. This is the second consecutive season that Brockel has seen his season end prematurely due to injury after he suffered an ankle injury four games into the 2014 season.
