Coming off of a disappointing 2017 campaign, the Hawaii Warriors are ready to put all the negativity behind them. The Mountain West media, not so much. On Tuesday morning, the Warriors were picked to finish 5th in the West Division by the media, but did see linebacker Jahlani Tavai receive recognition by making the preseason all-conference team.
The West division coaches and players don’t begin interviewing with the media until tomorrow, but that didn’t stop head coach Nick Rolovich from spreading the aloha on Tuesday. Rolo showed up to media days last year in full Elvis Presley attire, and couldn’t help himself to play around a little this week too.
