New Mexico State's Marvin Menzies withdraws name from UNLV coaching job

The Aggies head coach has decided to take his name out of consideration for the Rebels job.

The search for the next UNLV coach has been public with Mick Cronin and Saint Mary's Randy Bennett rejected a $1.5 million per year offer, and now Mark Rudi of the Cruces Suns News is reporting that Marvin Menzies is not interested.

Just talked with Marvin Menzies, who told me he has withdrawn his name from being considered for the UNLV head coaching position.

Menzies was in Las Vegas on over the weekend to interview for the Rebels vacancy, which has been open for months, but he has elected to stay at his post and coach the Aggies in Las Cruces.
