The Lobos gained a measure of revenge against the Patriots by spanking the boys from Dallas. They Lobos had lost, and lost convincingly, in a three game series early in the year and had a point to prove. And prove it they did.
So, the race for the coveted ring started Friday. New Mexico faced Dallas Baptist in their first game. Yes, these two have a lot of history even in this season where the Patriots beat up on the Lobos and swept a three game series back in early March. There was little good to be had in those games so, based on those games, New Mexico didn't stand much of a chance.
