The hierarchy of the Mountain West has pressed teams to schedule up in basketball, and if not a fine could be in the works. Well, the New Mexico Lobos have upped their non-conference schedule and have a home-and-home against the Colorado Buffaloes, per The Albuquerque Journal.
The series begins in Boulder, Colorado, in the 2017-18 season and then the Lobos would host the Buffaloes in the 2018-19 season at Wise Pie Arena The Pit.
Colorado has been a better basketball team since the turn of the decade with five seasons of 20 or more wins with 16 wins so far this year and four NCAA Tournament berths.
