For the second time in as many days, Nevada Wolf Pack quarterback Carson Strong has been named to a preseason award watch list.
Strong, the reigning Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year, was named to the Davey O’Brien Award watch list, it was announced Tuesday. He led the Mountain West in completion percentage (70.1), passing yards (2,858) and passing touchdowns (27).
Strong posted five 300-yard performances and two 400-yard performances — both coming in two of the team’s first three contests last season. His best performance featured a four-touchdown, 420-yard performance in the season opener on Oct.
