Nevada guard Devearl Ramsey to transfer from university

Nevada guard Devearl Ramsey has decided to part ways with the University of Nevada-Reno, multiple sources said Wednesday afternoon.

Ramsey, a former 3-star recruit according to ESPN, spent his freshman season in Reno. Though Ramsey played a minor role with the Wolf Pack in ‘16-17, tallying just 0.8 points and 1.1 rebounds per game in 26 appearances, many anticipated he would be a focal part of the UNR rotation moving forward.

The vacancy leaves head coach Eric Musselman with four open scholarship spots. Four incoming transfers, including former Purdue guard Kendall Stephens and North Carolina State wings Caleb and Cody Martin will both be on the roster for the upcoming season.
