Nevada Football: Second-half collapse leads to San Jose State 30-20 victory

An unmitigated, second-half Nevada disaster led to a 30-20 San Jose State victory over the Wolf Pack on Saturday in Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev.

San Jose State blanked Nevada in the second half, scoring 23 unanswered — starting with a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Shamar Garrett.

The Spartans clinched its first Mountain West title game berth in program history. They will square off with Boise State next Saturday on Dec. 19, though the time and location still need to be determined. finishing 6-0 in the regular season. It is their first undefeated season since they went 13-0 in 1939.
