Nevada Basketball: Wolf Pack plauged by poor defense and fouls in loss to Lobos

The Wolf Pack tried to overcome an ugly start but it was not enough as Nevada fell to New Mexico 88-76 in the conference opener for both teams.

The Nevada Wolf Pack started conference play on a losing note as they fell on the road to the New Mexico Lobos 88-76 on Wednesday night. The loss drops the Wolf Pack to 8-5 for the season while the win improves the Lobos record to 8-6 and ends their four game losing streak.

Nevada had an excellent start to the game hitting four of their first five shots to take a 9-7 lead but the Wolf Pack went 11 minutes without making a field goal as they missed 14 straight shots.
