The Nevada Wolf Pack are opening conference play tonight as they host the San Jose State Spartans in Reno. The Wolf Pack have won 15 of the last 16 meetings against San Jose State and 25 of the last 27 meetings dating back to 2002.
The Wolf Pack enter Mountain West play as the team to beat after finishing non-conference play with an impressive 11-2 record that included wins over Washington, Oregon State and Iona. While perennial league favorite San Diego State had a few stumbles in non-conference play and the rest of the conference could be contenders for the regular season title, Nevada is currently the toast of the conference and they are aware of it.
