The Nevada men’s basketball team has been projected to finish sixth in the Mountain West conference, per the 2020-21 preseason poll announced Wednesday. The poll was voted by the conference’s media members ahead of league’s virtual media day.
San Diego State was picked to win the conference’s regular season title, tallying 211 points. They also receiving 14 of the 20 total first place votes. San Diego State is coming off a 30-2 season, including a 17-1 conference record.
Boise State (4) and Utah State (2) also received first place votes.
Nevada garnered 114 total points. It placed behind SDSU (211), Boise State (188), Utah State (177), UNLV (160) and Colorado State (141).
