The New Mexico Lobos baseball team is rolling through the Mountain West with an 11-1 league record and 18-11 overall. Their non-conference slate has helped them be ready for league play and the respect for the NCAA Tournament.
Their non-league games against Dallas Baptist, Texas Tech (still two games remaining), Cal State Fullerton, San Diego and Oklahoma State were all ranked at the time they played. The Lobos also played New Mexico State is projected to be in the NCAA Tournament.
That schedule has placed the Lobos at 23 in the latest RPI, but they are not yet ranked in the most recent D1Baseball.
