The Mountain West has four separate showdowns with Pac-12 this weekend: Wyoming vs Oregon, Fresno State vs Washington, San Jose State vs Utah, and San Diego State vs Stanford.
In none of these are the Mountain West team the favorite, the smallest underdog being San Diego State who is +9 against the Cardinal.
Obviously the San Diego State-Stanford contest has the most riding on it. With a victory, the Aztecs absolutely establish themselves as not only the Mountain West team to beat, but the presumptive Group of Five favorite for a New Year’s Six bowl bid.
But all of these games represent a chance for the Mountain West to gain some respect from the college football world.
