The 2016 version of the Mountain West Connection top 50 football players countdown is here and the 15th player is San Jose State tight end Billy Freeman.
The Spartans lose a lot of offense with Tyler Ervin off to the NFL, and San Jose State is hoping that Freeman can help out with that lost production. Freeman was tagged as the leagues best tight end in the conference, and he hopes to improve off of last year's numbers where he hauled in 48 receptions, for 586 yards and six touchdowns.
Those stats led all tight ends in 2015.
