The 2016 version of the Mountain West Connection top 50 football players countdown is here and the 14th player is one of the many key cogs for the San Diego State defense in defensive lineman Alex Barrett.
Barrett was picked by the media to be on the leagues preseason all-conference team, and other publications feel the same way. He was a beast in getting behind the line of scrimmage with 13, 5.5 sacks and a pair of interceptions and one was returned for a touchdown.
