The Mountain West football regular season is over and it is now award season for the conference. This year the league was a bit odd and especially in the Mountain Division where Wyoming was projected to finish last but yet they won the division and are hosting the Mountain West title game this weekend against San Diego State.
Running back is the most loaded position in this conference with likely multiple future NFL running backs in the league so it is no surprise that the conference player of the year came from that position as San Diego State’s Donnel Pumphrey won the award for the second straight year.
