The San Diego State Aztecs won the Mountain West baseball tournament and the automatic bid by beating the Fresno State Bulldogs 5-3 in a really good game. CJ Saylor closed out the game as he has done almost all year for the Aztecs.
SDSU’s offense cam alive to help the pitching in the eighth inning. Junior Tyler Adkison had an RBI single. That at-bat took everything out of him as he battled on for 13 pitches before he singled to right field, scoring junior Alan Trejo to tie the game up 3-3. Then it was Andrew Martinez who hit what would be the game-winner with a two-RBI single through the left side.
