Earlier today, the Maxwell Football Club announced their semi-finalists for the Maxwell Award and Bednarik Awards, and senior Fresno State QB Marcus McMaryion found his way onto the Maxwell list. This is a huge honor for the Bulldog signal caller, and is the first Fresno State player to appear on the list since Derek Carr did it in 2013.
The senior QB has thrown for 2,142yds on the season, completing over 70% of his passes. He’s also tossed 18 touchdowns, while adding 7 more rushing touchdowns, compared to only 2 interceptions. His QBR of 85.0 is absurd so far, and puts him into rather elite QB company behind only Tua Tagovialoa, Kyler Murray, and D’Eriq King.
