All-Star Paul George dominates in second half of 33-point effort as Indiana takes opening game of best-of-seven playoff series.
Put simply, Paul George proved too much for the Toronto Raptors on Saturday afternoon.
The three-time All-Star forward enjoyed arguably the best second half of his five-year NBA career and his teammates made timely contributions to the seventh-seeded Indiana Pacers’ 100-90 triumph over second-seeded Toronto at Air Canada Centre in Game 1 of the best-of-seven playoff series.
Some will say it was an upset, considering the Raptors won a franchise-record 56 games whereas the 45-37 Pacers clinched a postseason berth in the season’s final week.
