Ryan Finely announced he was moving on from the Boise State football program after Brett Rypien was named as the starting quarterback with Finley being the backup.
The semester is over with Finley heading East and following former Broncos offensive coordinator Eli Drinkwitz to finish his career at N.C. State, per the Idaho Press-Tribune.
Finley was the starter under Drinkwitz heading into his sophomore year but broke his ankle early in the 2015 season and missed eight weeks.
That allowed true freshman Rypien come in earlier than expected, and he played well enough in the season and in spring camp to remain the starter.
