Count in Mountain West commissioner Craig Thompson as someone who is not happy with how the bowl matchups. In particularly, he is unhappy with the multiple 5-7 teams getting a bowl bid -- even thought one is San Jose State and from this very conference -- and very unhappy that the Mountain West has a conference matchup between Nevada and Colorado State in the Arizona Bowl. That bowl just happens to be one of the newest bowls this year.
