Colts Make More Assistant Coaching Changes

Jim Herrmann becomes linebackers coach, Darren Krein is strength and conditioning coach, O-line coach Hal Hunter won't be retained.

The Indianapolis Colts’ offseason overhaul to the assistant coaching staff continued Thursday with the announcement of two hirings and another assistant not being retained.

Jim Herrmann, who has been in the NFL for a decade with the New York Jets and Giants, is the new linebackers coach. He had the same job in New York with the Jets (2006-08) and Giants (2009-15). He had spent the previous two decades at his college alma mater, Michigan, including nine years as defensive coordinator.
