Starting defensive tackle is placed on injured reserve Monday.
Worst fears were confirmed Monday as the Indianapolis Colts placed rookie defensive tackle Henry Anderson on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Anderson had to be helped off the field in the second half of Sunday’s 27-24 win over the Denver Broncos at Lucas Oil Stadium. Head coach Chuck Pagano said after the game that Anderson had suffered a "pretty significant" injury. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported the initial diagnosis as a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
The third-round selection out of Stanford was drafted to play defensive end in the Colts’ 3-4 scheme but shifted to tackle when Arthur Jones was lost for the year in preseason to an ankle injury.
