Andrew Luck's injury absence now extends to a second game.
As was speculated earlier in the day in national media reports including NFL.com and ESPN, the Indianapolis Colts quarterback was among the team's inactives for Thursday night's road game against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium. A sore right shoulder -- some speculate it's separated -- caused Luck to be inactive for the first time of his career last Sunday.
Backup Matt Hasselbeck will start again, despite suffering from a bacterial infection that had him in a hospital early Tuesday morning. The 40-year-old Hasselbeck led the Colts to a 16-13 overtime win over Jacksonville Sunday in the 17-year veteran's first start since 2012.
