Colorado State make formal pitch to join Big 12

At this point, nearly every school that is a public institution has had their formal request to join the Big 12 intercepted via the Freedom of Information Act.

The latest is Colorado State who sent a letter to Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby, and was obtained by the Colorodoan.

The letter was very simple and to the point, and sent one month ago on July 25 by Colorado State president Tony Frank.

“Based on the recent decision of the Big 12 Conference presidents to consider conference expansion, Colorado State University wishes to express its strong interest in being considered as an expansion candidate,” Frank’s letter said.
