Mike Bobo gained the first in-state commit for the Colorado State Rams 2017 recruiting class. Linebacker Corte Tapia from Windsor, Colorado, committed to the Rams on Thursday.
Tapia is the Colorado prep leader in career sacks in 39, which he set in last year’s Class 4A state championship. He took the record from former Denver South, University of Miami (FL) and current Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell, who had 38 sacks in his prep career. In his junior year, Tapia had 157 tackles (82 solo), 26.5 tackles for loss, and 15.5 sacks.
Corte Tapia is 6 foot 2, 220 pound linebacker who could end up either inside or outside for the Rams.
