Colorado State (9-5, 1-0) started to find their rhythm in their 91-77 victory over UNLV on Wednesday night. A dominate second half that featured a 25-3 run helped snap the Rams three game losing streak and get Larry Eustachy’s bunch off on the right foot in Mountain West conference play.
Colorado State will need a continuation of their second half play against UNLV if they want to beat Boise State. Boise State (8-4, 1-0) muscled their way to a victory in their conference opener by knocking off Utah State 83-80 in Logan, UT. They are led by junior guard Chandler Hutchison who is averaging almost 18 points and eight rebounds a game.
