The latest college football playoff rankings are out and in our world of the college football universe only a few things changed this week. There once again are two ranked teams from the Group of Five and that is Western Michigan who moved up two spots and is now 21 and Boise State moved up to the 22nd spot.
San Diego State is not ranked despite having just one loss this year and won in blowout fashion over Hawaii by a score of 55-0. The playoff committee is likely penalizing the Aztecs loss to South Alabama, however the Aztecs have a much more open path to a New Year’s Six Bowl game compared to ranked Boise State who needs help to win a conference title.
