The Denver Broncos have waived tight end Richard Gordon, the team announced Wednesday. Gordon came to the Broncos in October of 2015.
Gordon's time in Denver has been a roller coaster, as this is the third time he's been waived by the Broncos in roughly six months. They like him as a developmental blocking tight end, but just recently signed a younger player—one with arguably more upside—following the NFL Draft.
Henry Krieger-Coble went undrafted out of Iowa, but the Broncos made him a priority free agent pickup. He'll compete with Virgil Green, Jeff Heuerman, Garrett Graham, and Manesseh Garner for a spot on the roster.
