Broncos Use Big Plays To Rip Rams 41-10

FORT COLLINS, Colorado--Thomas Sperbeck scored on two long touchdown passes and sophomore Jeremy McNichols scored two touchdowns as #25 Boise State trounced Colorado State 41-10 tonight. The Bronco defense held All-America wide receiver Rashard Higgins to three catches for 42 yards.

Brett Rypien threw for a career-high 339 yards, including an 85-yard TD pass to Sperbeck and Sperbeck also caught a 53-yard touchdown pass from wide receiver Shane Williams-Rhodes. McNichols, scored on a 56-yard run up the middle but left the game following a helmet-to-helmet hit while scoring a one-yard TD late in the third quarter.
