Broncos DC Wade Phillips Honored By PFWA

It's been a good day for Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips. Earlier Thursday, Pro Football Focus named him the Defensive Coordinator of the Year.

Perhaps the more prestigious award comes from the Pro Football Writers Of America, who named Phillips their Co-Assistant Coach of the Year. He'll share the honor with Hue Jackson, former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator and newly-hired head coach of the Cleveland Browns.

Phillips was hired not long after Gary Kubiak signed on as the new head coach of the Broncos.
