Dylan Sumner-Gardner’s career at Boise State never lived up to his recruiting hype of the former four-star defensive back out of Mesquite, Texas. His time with the Broncos has ended as the school has announced he is no longer with the program.
Boise State released a short statement on Sumner-Gardner, "due to a violation of team rules and a continuation of academic issues from earlier this season.”
Sumner-Gardner had issues dating back to last year where he did not travel with the team to the Poinsettia Bowl and was then suspended for the first four games of this season, because of “failing to meet NCAA football academic eligibility requirements.
