49ers trail in ugly first half

It wasn't quite an aesthetically pleasing first half between the NFL's two lowest-ranked offenses.

The 49ers' struggles continued. Against the Rams, they found themselves down 20-6 at halftime 10 days after losing 20-3 at home to the Seahawks.

Without Carlos Hyde and Anquan Boldin, San Francisco managed 112 yards of offense, converting two of 10 third downs. Colin Kaepernick threw for 98 yards on 12 of 23 completions, adding 16 rushing yards on four attempts.

The running game in the first half without Hyde was abismal. The team's running backs combined for two yards on 11 carries.
