49ers fall to 4-11 with loss in Detroit

The 49ers finished off their road schedule with another disappointing loss to a sub-.500 team.

The San Francisco 49ers couldn't overcome a slew of mistakes, leading to a 32-17 loss to the Lions Sunday in Detroit, falling to 4-11 with one game remaining in Jim Tomsula's first season as head coach.

Seven offsides or neutral zone infractions illustrated a day loaded with miscues, including numerous missed tackles and a critical fumble in the first half that led to a Lions TD on the very next play.

And after a strong offensive performance in the first half, the league's worst attack was back to its usual self in the second, getting shut out and netting just 57 yards.
