SANTA CLARA, Calif. - 49ers CEO Jed York used the word 'championship' 14 times during his half-hour media session Monday, the day after he fired first-year head coach Jim Tomsula. Given the way the last year has gone, and that the team is beginning another coaching search, competing for championships appears a long way off.
But the 49ers feel like they have the assets this offseason to rebound quickly from their disastrous season.
