The MLB draft happened last week and the Mountain West conference was pretty involved. UNLV produced a first round pick and San Jose State had quite a few selections themselves. Here’s a post that simply collects all the info found from twitter. Apologies if it’s not a complete list. And given the nature of how baseball players develop through the minors, it’s hard to project the kind of careers they will have.
Lobos pitcher Justin Slaten is selected by the Texas Rangers in the third round of the MLB Draft as the 86th overall pick.
