San Diego State’s stellar running back Rashaad Penny was selected with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Penny was the second running back selected in the first round, behind only No. 2 overall pick Saquon Barkley (NY Giants) out of Penn State.
Penny averaged just under eight yards per carry his senior season and rushed for 2,248 yards and 23 touchdowns on the year. He led the country in yards in 2017, was a first-team All-American and All-Mountain West, and finished fifth in Heisman voting.
