Things couldn’t have worked out better for the Colorado State Rams in their opening game of the Mountain West tournament. The second seeded Rams (21-10, MW 13-5) will face the tenth seeded Air Force (12-20, MW 4-14) after the Falcons defeated Wyoming Wednesday night 83-68.
Colorado State beat Air Force 85-58 in what was the Rams arguably best game of the season when the two squared off in Ft. Collins in early January. While it was a close game in the first half, Colorado State pulled away in the second half led by senior guard Gian Clavell and some lights out shooting from the field.
