2016 San Diego State football recruiting: DB Dwayne Johnson Jr. signs with Aztecs

The San Diego State Aztecs land versatile 3-star defensive back Dwayne Johnson Jr of Vista Murrieta (Murrieta, CA). Johnson had been recruited by UNLV and Boise State, but chose San Diego State.

Johnson is a defensive back who projects to play the Warrior position behind returning-senior Malik Smith. Johnson fits in at that position standing at 6’1", 184 lbs. He is versatile and smart in the defensive backfield totaling 131 tackles in his senior year, averaging 9.4 tackles a game, but also coming away with eight total interceptions in his time on varsity.
