As reported by mountroyalsoccer.com and other outlets last week, it looks like Joaquin Torres, a 23-year-old midfielder/winger is on his way to Stade Saputo on loan.
There’s still not been any confirmation from CF Montreal, however Newell’s Old Boys official website is declaring the player is destined for Montreal.
Torres, in Rosario currently where today he extended his contract with parent club Newell’s until December 2022, spent last season on-loan in the Greek Super League with Volos.
Newell’s website says he is to be loaned free of charge and with an option to buy, to Club de Foot Montreal.
