The Seattle Mariners have agreed to a deal to acquire third baseman Eugenio Suarez from the Arizona Diamondbacks, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan on Wednesday night.
The trade is pending medical review. On Monday, Suarez was hit on the right index finger by a pitch, but a CT scan and an MRI exam revealed no fractures. He was back in the lineup on Wednesday, going 1-for-4 with a double in 7-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers.
It wasn't immediately known who Seattle was sending Arizona in return.
