The 29-year-old Canadian International midfielder’s contract is coming to an end this summer. Given that Scott Arfield is able to play almost anywhere along the midfield line he could be a great addition to the squad without taking an international spot.
What does he brings to the table?
Arfield is currently playing with Burnley, who sit seventh in the English Premiere League (EPL). An important but expendable midfielder for Burnley could be a great pick up for either Canadian club. Given the position that Burnley is in right now (not facing relegation and sitting mid-table in the standings) they will likely want to make big moves in the offseason and signing Arfield would not be one.
