Koeman to Assume Barca Hot-seat

Holland manager Ronald Koeman is set to replace dismissed Barcelona manager Quique Setien. An announcement is expected sometime over the next 24 hours.

Former Real Betis boss Setien, 61, was appointed only in January lost the La Liga title to Real Madrid and oversaw the Catalans’ record defeat in European competition against Bayern Munich. He was in charge for only 25 matches.

According to BBC Spanish Football expert, Guillem Balague, Koeman will be given a 2-year contract.

Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, touted as a future Real Madrid manager, was also contacted despite his links to cross-town rivals Espanol, but Barca is about to go with their former captain in Koeman.
